The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 directed the Small Business Administration (SBA) to create a Governmentwide certification program for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Effective January 1, 2023, SBA assumed responsibility for certifying Veteran-Owned small firms. If you have questions, please contact SBA at vetcert@sba.gov. Strategic Communications promotes Small Business awareness of opportunities, access to procurement decision makers, and procurement readiness of small businesses. Communications provide information to help expand Small Business participation in federal procurement opportunities through aggressive research, analysis, outreach, education, training, program modernization, and IT enhancements.

Advertising and Marketing

Advertising and marketing are tools used by OSDBU Strategic Outreach and Communications to assist in Outreach, education/training, and supporting the activities and mission directorates within the organization. It is also used to promote outreach activities, major campaigns, training and information from our external stakeholders and other VA wide organizations.

OSDBU Social Media

Social Media that is an interactive computer-mediated technologies that OSDBU Strategic Outreach and Communications uses to facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks with the Veteran Small Business Community and the Acquisition community. We use it to market products, promote brands, connect to current customers and foster new business while integrating campaigns that support the Small Business community.
