Data Mining Federal Contracting - Ad-Hoc Reports

Presentation: 24.02.13 Data Mining Federal Contracting - Ad-Hoc Reports.pdf

Does your business have the information it needs to be successful in federal contracting? Are you aware of the free, publicly available tools to help you identify buyers, competitors, partners, and opportunities? A foundational understanding of the federal contracting market is essential in developing strategies to pursue federal procurement opportunities. The intelligence you gather from public sources that we will explore will help you differentiate in the competitive government contracting market. Knowing who buys what you sell, how they’re buying it, and who they’re buying from is essential for your success as a vendor at the Department of Veterans Affairs and other government agencies. Join us in this informative, hands-on series as we demonstrate how to use market research tools to identify opportunities, position your business for success, and get the desired results.

This advanced market research session will enable you to create custom datasets of federal contracting obligations. You will learn how to create, save, and run ad-hoc reports on the System for Award Management (SAM.Gov). The instructor will explain the attributes, metrics, and filters and discuss the methodology of selecting different report components to create reports that capture detailed data points on federal buyers, sellers, contract types, and more.
