The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 directed the Small Business Administration (SBA) to create a Governmentwide certification program for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Effective January 1, 2023, SBA assumed responsibility for certifying Veteran-Owned small firms. If you have questions, please contact SBA at vetcert@sba.gov. In collaboration with VA OSDBU, Direct Access Program; the Strategic Acquisition Center will host a virtual industry day to update industry on the status and acquisition strategy – Surgical Implants National Contract Program Next Generation IDIQ. Expected solicitation to be released this fall.  Manufacturers and distributors of biological and non-biological surgical implants suitable for use in VA facilities are invited to attend this presentation which will include an opportunity to ask questions of representatives from the Strategic Acquisition Center and the Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service.
