Scope of Work
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Connectivity and Collaboration Services (CCS), Core Provisioning, Mobility Services (CPMS) team is seeking to purchase both fixed-site and mobile units for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite internet services with Starlink. Fixed-site services would be installed at VA locations for back-up connections, disaster recovery, or for remote locations where terrestrial circuits are not available or would require long build-out times. Mobile units would be leveraged by the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to provide mobile LEO satellite services in various locations, allowing them to rapidly deploy units in response to a multitude of scenarios relating to disaster recovery and failover for service disruptions to existing VA internet circuits. The Connectivity and Collaboration Services Department is looking for industry feedback from potential industry aggregators to see what solutions and products are available in the marketplace.
