• Please review the enclosed list of Minimum Functionality Requirements and draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) associated with this opportunity.
• You must fully complete the entire registration process, including the upload of your company’s capability statement and click Submit, to be considered by VHA/OIT for a virtual demonstration.
• Selection and session scheduling is at the sole discretion of the VHA/OIT panel.

Overview

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), National Center for Ethics in Health Care (NCEHC), in collaboration with VA OSDBU’s Direct Access Program, will host virtual vendor demonstration meetings focused on providing the small business community an opportunity to present their capabilities as they relate to the Business Sectors, NAICS, and Capabilities listed below.

Company representatives selected by the VHA/OIT panel will participate in a videoconference to demonstrate the product’s capabilities as outlined in the enclosed Minimum Functionality Requirements.

Company Opportunities
VHA/OIT is conducting market research to determine what products, tools, and solutions are on the market and available for web-based informed consent functionality.

NCEHC works with OI&T to provide technology to empower patients and promote shared decision making through use of a cloud-based solution application that helps clinicians manage the informed consent process electronically.

VHA’s NCEHC is the business owner of the requirement for signature informed consent cloud-based solution that assists VA health care professionals in documenting patients’ signature and informed consent for over 2,000 treatments/procedures that require signature informed consent.  The cloud-based solution documents Veterans’ completion of VA Form 10-0137, “VA Advance Directive and Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care” (Advance Directive).  

VA requires functionality for electronic signature informed consent, and patient education documents for all medical specialties, stored in the VA electronic patient health record, with a single sign on capability through the use of a Personal Identification Verification (PIV) card.
