Event Description

Veteran-Owned Small Businesses are encouraged to attend this session to learn about the process of reporting fraud against the Department.

The Investigative Development Division (IDD) is focused on procurement and construction fraud against the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In addition to investigating cases involving procurement and construction fraud against the Department IDD investigates waste and abuse, threats against VA personnel and property, and benefits fraud.  IDD has also identified potential COVID-19 fraud schemes against not only VA but small businesses as well. VA OIG has made criminal arrests and effected monetary recovery from procurement and construction fraud cases. This information session intends to educate the audience about IDD, provide examples of potential fraud, discuss COVID fraud, and provide contact information to report suspected fraud.

If you have questions about the virtual event, please contact the Direct Access program by e-mail at directaccess@va.gov or by phone at 202 461 4694.
