Overview: The purpose of this project is to complete a cemetery expansion that will increase the burial capacity of Cape Canaveral National Cemetery for eligible Veterans and their dependents in the Brevard County Florida area. This project will develop approximately 30 acres for the Phase 2 gravesite expansion at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, providing for an additional 10 years of full-option burial capacity to provide approximately 32,200 gravesites, including both casket and cremation sites in new burial sections.

This project will provide the following elements and features: Interment areas (burial sections), including casketed remains of approximately 7,400 pre-placed crypt full casket gravesites, oversized casket section (one burial section) of approximately 300 oversized pre-placed crypt full casket gravesites, cremated remains of approximately 12,300 pre-placed urn crypts with integral headstone support boxes, garden niche, or terrace sites and approximately 12,200 columbarium niches; access roads and parking; grading, drainage, and landscaping; signage and site furnishings; irrigation of new burial sections; protected habitat preservation, wetlands, and mitigation; and geographic information system (GIS) site integration extension into the Phase 2 area.

The approximate project duration will be 1,100 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The estimated magnitude for this project is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) of 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction) with the size standard of $39.5 Million.</span>
